FAQ

Your career at Volmary

I have sent you my application, what happens now?

We will check your documents and get back to you as soon as possible

What working time models do you offer?

Whether part-time or full-time - if your qualifications suit us, we will discuss together which model is right for you

What about flexitime and working from home?

In principle, we offer both, but it depends on the area of work. Wherever possible, we offer both, but it is difficult for a gardener, for example, to work from home

You are a seasonal business - what happens to my overtime?

We have an annual working time account, to which all overtime goes and which can then be reduced during the less busy periods. There is no limit to the number of days or hours that can be compensated with time off in one go

Do I also have to work at the weekend?

Occasionally yes, this is unavoidable when working with plants. In our peak season, we work at full capacity in order to be able to supply our customers with the best quality plants. In the off-season, however, any overtime can be worked off in the beautiful season.

I don't have green fingers - can I still work for you?

Of course, we have lots of exciting challenges in administration that don't require a green thumb. But perhaps you will be infected by our green passion and can talk to our plant professionals about your hobby garden.

Is the site in Münster am Kaldenhof a nursery?

No, not in the traditional sense. The Volmary Plant Breeding Centre is located here. We develop new plant varieties there and test them in the field.

Can I also buy flowers from Volmary?

No, we are exclusively active in the B2B sector and produce young plants and cuttings from seeds for our B2B customers (professional nurseries). We do not sell Volmary young plants directly to end consumers.
